Application-specific notes for UPPSC
- UPPSC's OTR guide states physical shapes rather than a fixed pixel canvas: the photograph is 5 x 6 cm and the signature 6 x 3 cm. Preserve those 5:6 and 2:1 proportions when cropping; do not substitute the narrower 3.5 x 4.5 photograph used by another commission.
- The published sizes are ceilings — photograph under 50 KB and signature under 30 KB — with no minimum KB value. Export a clear file below each maximum instead of inventing a lower boundary that could cause unnecessary recompression.
- The 200 DPI instruction is a scan or export setting paired with centimetre dimensions, not an additional fixed width and height in pixels. If the active OTR screen displays pixel rules, use those current on-screen values; the linked guide itself does not supply them.
- One-Time Registration stores these assets for the UPPSC profile. Review both previews before completing OTR, because the photo and signature have different orientations, shapes and caps even though they are prepared during the same registration session.
About this exam
Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission recruitments use One-Time Registration. The OTR instructions require the candidate to upload photo and signature files once; this is an upload workflow, not live photograph capture. The published guide specifies centimetre dimensions, maximum file sizes and 200 DPI, without fixed pixel dimensions.
