OCI Card (India) Photo & Signature Size
OCI registration. The photograph upload must be square, 200x200 to 900x900 px, JPEG/JPG, up to 200 KB, on a plain light-coloured background that is not white. A signature image is also uploaded as JPEG/JPG up to 200 KB, but the OCI FAQ publishes no signature pixel dimensions or aspect ratio.

Application-specific notes for OCI Card
- The OCI photograph is SQUARE and its background must be plain light colour but NOT white, which is unlike most Indian document photographs and easy to get wrong if you reuse one. It is at least 51x51 mm with about 80% face coverage, no border, head and shoulders centred.
- Height and width must be equal, between 200x200 and 900x900 pixels, in JPEG or JPG up to 200 KB. A 35x45 mm passport crop cannot simply be reused: it is the wrong shape and, if it is on white, the wrong background.
- An OCI photograph is uploaded rather than pasted, and the square shape means a standard passport print cannot be trimmed to fit — the head sits proportionally too large once you crop a 35x45mm image into a square. Start from the original photograph and crop square from it instead.

OCI registration uses separate photograph and signature uploads. The official photograph guide specifies a square 51x51 mm colour photograph on a plain light-coloured background, while the online FAQ publishes a 200x200 to 900x900 px square range and a 200 KB maximum. The FAQ confirms a signature upload but publishes no signature geometry, so no fixed signature pixels are applied.
