What does the photo & signature checker do?

The size, dimensions and format checks are exact — they compare your file to the official spec. The background check is a guide, not a guarantee. Always confirm against the official portal before submitting.
Does it upload my photo or signature?
No. The file is read and checked entirely in your browser — nothing is uploaded to any server.
Why does a portal reject my upload?
Usually the file is over the KB limit, the pixel dimensions/aspect are wrong, it isn't a JPG, or the background isn't plain white. The checker flags each of these so you know exactly what to fix.
How do I fix a failing check?
When something fails, the result links straight to the resizer for your exam, which compresses and resizes your file to the exact required spec.
