Application-specific notes for Passport Seva overseas ICAO
- For an ordinary adult fresh or reissue application inside India, the PSK or POPSK captures the photograph and biometrics. There is no ordinary prepared-photo upload to optimise, so this resizer should not be inserted into that domestic appointment workflow.
- The below-four exception is a physical 45 x 35 mm colour photograph on a white background. It is distinct from the 630 x 810 pixel format documented for Indian embassies and consulates abroad; choose the route first rather than treating the print and overseas digital figures as interchangeable.
- The linked ICAO guide supports the overseas photograph geometry, but it does not publish the stored 10 to 250 KB photo band or 10 to 100 KB signature band shown as compatibility settings here. The mission's current upload screen is the authority for those digital limits.
- A 630 x 810 canvas has the same 3.5:4.5 shape as the recorded print, so cropping can be shared across those two representations. That ratio match does not establish the file-size ceiling or prove that a particular mission asks for an upload.

Children below four carry a 45x35 mm white-background print. Use this digital preset only when a separate overseas workflow requests it, and confirm the current mission instructions before relying on the stored KB or signature limits.
