UGC-NET (NTA) Photo & Signature Size
UGC-NET decides eligibility for Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship across the humanities, social sciences, commerce, languages and education. The five science streams are examined separately through Joint CSIR-UGC NET; check the current subject list rather than assuming which body covers yours. ⚠ The signature limit is disputed: the June 2026 information bulletin gives 4-30 KB in its application-procedure section and 10-50 KB elsewhere in the same document. This tool targets 10-30 KB, the range that satisfies both readings, so a file it produces is valid either way. Take the binding figure from the live application screen. The photograph is 10-200 KB, JPG or JPEG, with no fixed pixel dimensions published. That bulletin also introduces a live-photograph capture step, so read the current cycle's notice rather than working from an earlier one.

Application-specific notes for UGC-NET
- The bulletin states two different signature limits. In its application-procedure section the signature is 4 KB to 30 KB; later in the same document it is 10 KB to 50 KB. This tool targets 10-30 KB, the overlap, so a file it produces satisfies either reading. Take the binding figure from the live application screen.
- A photograph found to be fabricated — de-shaped, or appearing hand-made or computer-made — is treated as unfair means rather than as a formatting error, with consequences beyond the form being returned. Resize and compress a real photograph; do not reconstruct one.
- The photograph is uploaded against a white background and is also the image used at the centre, so print a copy of the same file rather than using a different sitting.

UGC-NET uses file limits, not a fixed pixel canvas
The UGC-NET bulletin records the photograph at 10–200 KB and the signature at 10–30 KB, both in JPG / JPEG. It does not publish fixed photo or signature pixels, so preserve a clear source image and compress it into the listed bands instead of forcing it into a borrowed 200×230 template.

UGC-NET is the NTA eligibility examination for Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship recorded by this preset. Although its file bands match the joint CSIR-UGC NET record, use the UGC-NET bulletin and application session named on this page. Matching KB values do not make the two registrations interchangeable.
